Early works

These works were created during my undergraduate years, and they are experimental works that combine painting & installation.

Blue

by watercolor, color pencils & installation art

This is a creation of mine during my undergraduate studies, inspired by a sorrowful documentary called "The Girl Who Talked to Dolphins."

The artwork is titled "Blue," which has multiple interpretations for the entire series: one represents the oceanic setting, and the other represents the sadness in the story. I replaced the dolphin named Peter with my favorite orca whale in the painting.

I portrayed the orca and a girl breaking free from the constraints of time and space, dancing happily together, hoping to convey the harmonious coexistence between humans and the ocean. In this installation art piece, I attempted to use two-dimensional paintings to showcase the effect of three-dimensional space.

Freedom

by acrylic paint

Shortlisted for the Painted Panda Collection organized by Sichuan HeartPanda Company and "Bazaar Art Campus Tour", and were exhibited in Hong Kong, Shanghai, Berlin and other cities around the world.

The inspiration for the artwork comes from Van Gogh's The Starry Night, utilizing his color palette and combining it with my own simple and stylized drawing style to convey the idea of breaking free from the constraints of nature and embracing freedom.
